Malik Moore (born February 29, 1976 in Thomson , Georgia ) is an American basketball player who played for the Paderborn Baskets and Central German BC in the German basketball league . Most recently he played in the Finnish league.

From the Martin Luther King High School in Philadelphia in 1997 he went to Temple University within the city , where he played for the Owls in 1997/98 in NCAA Division I. Moore changed universities, however, and from 1999 played in Division II for the Yellow Jackets of the American International College in Springfield (MA) , the city where James Naismith developed the game of basketball. In Division II he was much more successful, so that he was allowed to play for the Philadelphia 76ers after graduating in 2002 in the NBA Summer League .

He started his professional career in 2003 in Beijing , China. From 2005 he played again in the USA in the NBA Development League with Roanoke Dazzle, among others, together with Will Bynum . After this franchise was dissolved in 2006, he was active in the CBA the following season . In 2007 he dared to go abroad again and initially played in Germany, initially in the 2007/08 season with the Paderborn Baskets . At the beginning of 2009 he was signed by the MBC and managed to move up from the Pro A to the first division with the club . For the 2009/10 season he played again in Paderborn , which after a successful pre-season with the qualification for the play-offs for the German championship in that season remained largely unsuccessful after financial difficulties and relegated bottom of the table. Moore then moved to the Finnish first division and played first for NMKY in Lappeenranta and in the following season 2011/12 at Namika in Lahti .
