The Malina is a 58 km long river in western Slovakia in the traditional Záhorie landscape and a left tributary of the March ( Morava in Slovak ).
It rises in the Little Carpathians below the mountain Tri Kopce , at an altitude of approx. 610 m nm west of Piesok , a district of Modra , and flows first through the valley Modranská dolina and generally to the west. Then the river reaches the lowland Borská nížina , feeds the Kuchyňa reservoir, passes the Kuchyňa municipality and after a few kilometers of open land reaches the Záhorie military area . There it feeds two ponds, Tretí rybník and Štvrtý rybník , and in the former takes up the left-hand Pernecká Malina. In the further course the Malina leaves the military area and passes the southern part of Malacky and feeds the Jakubovské rybníky ponds behind the town , where it takes in the Ježovka on the right and the Balážov potok and the Tančiborský potok on the left. Behind Jakubov the river turns almost at right angles to the south and flows parallel to the Zohorský kanál. In Láb the left-Oliva empties into the river further downstream of Zohorský Potok from the left, Zohorský kanál from the right and the Stupavský Potok left before the Malina close Devínske jazero , about six kilometers south of Zohor and five kilometers east of Marchegg in the March flows.
