Zohor (Slovak and Hungarian, German rarely Sachern ) is a municipality in western Slovakia in the Záhorie region , between the capital Bratislava (23 km) and Malacky (17 km).
The place was first mentioned in writing as Sahur in 1314 .
It has a train station on the Bratislava – Kúty – Břeclav line and is connected to the D2 motorway via the Lozorno motorway exit 3 km away .
