Gajary (until 1927 "Gajáre" in Slovak; German Gayring , Hungarian Gajar - until 1895 Gajár ) is a municipality in western Slovakia .

The municipality is located in the western Slovak region of Záhorie (part of the Vienna Basin ) on a canal ( Zohorský kanál ). To the west of the municipality is the Záhorie nature reserve with the border river March , opposite the Austrian market town of Dürnkrut . The town of Malacky is 7 km away.

The place was mentioned in a document in 1373.
