Sološnica (German Breitenbrunn , Hungarian Széleskút ) is a municipality in the Okres Malacky within the Bratislavský kraj in Slovakia .
geography
The place is located in the Záhorská nížina (Záhorie lowlands) on the western slope of the Little Carpathians in the Záhorie (German Marchauen ) landscape on the Sološnický creek . The Vápenná mountain ( 752 m nm ) rises east of the village. It is 16 kilometers from Malacky and 53 kilometers from Bratislava .
In the Little Carpathians there is the Roštún Nature Reserve within the Little Carpathian Nature Reserve, which also includes the small Haviareň cave .
history
Sološnica was mentioned in writing for the first time in 1367 as Zeleskut and Praturnprunn and belonged to the Counts of St. Georgen and Bösing , and later to the estate of Castle Bladder Stone . The village was owned by the Pálffy family from the 17th century . In the 18th century there was a paper mill in the municipality.
In 1857 there was a fire disaster in which 22 people were killed and 173 houses and outbuildings were destroyed.
Until 1918 the place was in Pressburg County in the Kingdom of Hungary and then came to the newly formed Czechoslovakia .
