Maluro is an East Timorese Suco in the Quelicai administrative office ( municipality of Baucau ).

geography

Before the 2015 territorial reform, Maluro had an area of ​​1.21 km². Now it is 6.49 km². The Suco is located in the south of the Quelicai administrative office. To the west, across the Defaliu River , which rises in the border area , is the Suco Lelalai , to the east is the Suco Laisorolai de Cima . In the south, Maluro borders on the administrative office of Uato-Lari (municipality of Viqueque ) with its Suco Afaloicai . The Defaliu is a source river of the Bebui . The Suco has no major settlements or roads.

In the Suco there are the four Aldeias Loilubo-Uagua , Namanei , Samafalo and Ua-Robo .

Residents

763 people live in the Suco (2015), of which 404 are men and 359 are women. The population density is 117.7 inhabitants / km². There are 168 households in the Suco. Almost all of the residents give Makasae as their mother tongue. Only a few residents have Tetum Prasa as their mother tongue .

politics

In the 2004/2005 elections , Domingos DC Soares was elected Chefe de Suco. In the 2009 elections won Bernardo de Carvalho and was in 2016 re-elected.
