Manfred Ach (writer)
Manfred Ach (born November 21, 1946 in Grünwald im Isar Valley) is a German writer and publisher.
Life
Manfred Ach studied German , philosophy and theology at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . He was a full-time teacher for 33 years, 30 of which he worked in the school management of a grammar school. He exercised part-time and honorary activities, u. a. 15 years in the editorial office of a monthly educational magazine and 15 years on the board of the “Parents' Initiative to Help Against Mental Dependence and Religious Extremism”. He lives in Bavaria and Vienna .
Ach has been a writer since 1964. The literary focus is on poetry , short prose and aphorisms . His first volume of poetry was published in 1967. By 2019, Ach had published over 200 books and media of his own. In addition, he published 1,600 articles in 545 print media ( anthologies , books , newspapers , magazines and text books ).
In 1976, Ach was a co-founder of the publishing house of the Working Group for Religious and Weltanschauungsfragen (ARW), which he has run alone since 1991. The ARW publishes source material on pseudosciences , religious fringe groups, extremist cults, ideological sects and ideological fundamentalisms as well as "critical and apologetic literature and curiosities from the underground of the West". Ach has edited around 300 titles by other authors in the ARW. He himself also contributed non-fiction books and published his monk notes there in 72 episodes.
After Vienna became his preferred place of residence, he became a member of the Graz authors' assembly in 2009 .
In 2018 the Society for Contemporary Poetry e. V. (GZL) an exhibition of his books in the House of Books in Leipzig.
