Manfred Klein (politician, 1936)

Manfred Klein (born August 28, 1936 in Stuttgart ; † May 24, 2012 in Dornstadt ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

Life

Klein trained in the mayor's office of Maulbronn and in the district office in Waiblingen , attended the state administration school in Stuttgart , where he was qualified for high-level administrative service. From 1959 to 1964 he worked in the finance and construction departments in the mayor's office in Neckarweihingen in the Ludwigsburg district . On January 19, 1964, he was elected mayor of Dornstadt, his term of office began in March. In 1972 he was re-elected for the first time, in 1975 (as part of the formation of a new municipality in Dornstadt) the second and in 1983 the third, so that he was in office until 1991. Under his leadership, some important buildings for the community as well as many contacts, including with the French twin town of Coutras, were built . From 1972 to 1976, during the heyday of the Baden-Württemberg regional reform , he was also a member of the state parliament, directly elected in the Ulm-Land constituency . From 1979 to 1994 he was a member of the district council of the Alb-Donau district . Klein died after a serious illness in the Dornstadt care and care center.
