Manfred Paul Weinberger (born May 1, 1970 in Steyr ) is an Austrian music teacher , jazz trumpeter and composer .

Live and act

Weinberger studied trumpet at the Bruckner Conservatory in Linz with Ingrid Jensen and at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague with Ack van Rooyen . In 1997 and 2001 he took on scholarships to study at the Banff Center for the Arts in Banff , Canada . Study trips took him between 2002 and 2006 to Pune , India, at the Nad Roop Institute to the Kathak dance master Shama Bhate .

He can refer to concert and festival appearances with a number of orchestras at home and abroad. Since 1994 there have been several recordings on sound carriers. Since 1999 he has been a member of the artists' association MAERZ .

Since 2003 he has been teaching at the Upper Austrian Regional Music School , where he heads the Jazz Pop Rock specialist group . He regularly takes on duties as a lecturer .

Weinberger can refer to projects developed together with other musicians (austrian collective, Ensemble Zeit Sequenzen, Kasturba, quARTet, Rhythm Fields, Trio, Bontas / Weinberger Quartet).

Weinberger was the initiator in 2002 and has been the project manager of the Upper Austrian Youth Jazz Orchestra since then.
