Manila is a small town and county seat of Daggett County , in the state of Utah on the northern border with Wyoming .

geography

The place is at the junction of the SR43 and SR44. Just east of Manila is the Flaming Gorge Reservoir and south is the Ashley National Forest . This is also where Kings Peak is located at 4123 m (13,528 feet).

history

Manila was founded in 1898. The first houses in Manila were actually just log cabins with one or two rooms. Five numbered streets ran from west to east.
