Mantas Varaška

Mantas Varaška (born May 26, 1979 in Kazlų Rūda , Lithuanian SSR ) is a Lithuanian lawyer and politician, member of the Seimas .

Life

After graduating from the Kazys Grinius High School in Kazl Rūda in 1997, he completed a bachelor's degree from 1997 to 2001 and a master’s degree in law from 2001 to 2003 at the Lietuvos teisės universitetas in Vilnius . From 2004 he studied for a doctoral degree at the Chair of Constitutional Law at the Mykolo Romerio universitetas and prepared the dissertation on "Institute of the Head of State in Constitutional Law: Dynamic Aspect" (lit. "Valstybės vadovo institutas konstitucinėje teisėje: dinaminis aspektas"). From 2003 to 2008 he was a lecturer at the chair for constitutional law and taught comparative constitutional law, Lithuanian constitutional law, legal theory , criminology and the “ Ombudsman Institute in EU” (for ERASMUS students).

In 2002 he worked at UAB “Komprema”, from 2003 to 2004 as a lawyer at VšĮ Trakų nacionalinio sporto ir sveikatingumo centras, from 2004 to 2006 assistant to Seimas member Nijolė Steiblienė , in 2006 from Henrikas Žukauskas , from 2006 to 2007 as a non-profit assistant.

From July 2006 he was an advisor to the Lithuanian Minister of Justice Petras Baguška and headed several commissions in the judiciary, notary's office , and legislation.

In 2007 he was a member of the Supreme Electoral Commission of Lithuania as a representative of Pilietinės democijos partija . From 2008 to 2012 he was a member of Seimas , where he became a member of the Tautos prisikėlimo partija (TPP) group and from September 2009 to 2010 a member of the “ Viena Lietuva ” group, from February 2010 a member of Krikščionių partija .
