Manuel Gerardo Donoso Donoso
Manuel Gerardo Donoso Donoso SSCC (born October 16, 1936 in Santiago de Chile ) is a Chilean clergyman and retired Archbishop of La Serena .
Life
Manuel Gerardo Donoso Donoso joined the order of the Arnstein Fathers and was ordained a priest on September 23, 1961 .
Pope John Paul II appointed him Auxiliary Bishop in La Serena and Titular Bishop of Elo on June 28, 1996 . The Archbishop of Santiago de Chile , Cardinal Carlos Oviedo Cavada OdeM , donated him episcopal ordination on August 10 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Francisco José Cox Huneeus , Archbishop of La Serena, and Francisco Javier Prado Aránguiz SSCC, Bishop of Rancagua .
As a motto he chose He Admirado Tu Obra, Señor .
On April 16, 1997, he was named Archbishop of La Serena. Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on December 14, 2013.
