Manuel Samaniego Barriga

Manuel Samaniego Barriga (born October 10, 1930 in Angamacatiro , Mexico , † June 26, 2005 ) was a Mexican clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Cuautitlán .

Life

Manuel Samaniego Barriga received on 19 December 1953, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On April 30, 1969, Pope Paul VI appointed him . as titular bishop of Cures Sabinorum and auxiliary bishop in Saltillo . The Bishop of Saltillo, Luis Guízar y Barragán , ordained him episcopal on August 6th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Ciudad Victoria , José de Jesús Tirado Pedraza , and the Coadjutor Archbishop of Morelia , Manuel Martín del Campo Padilla .

On January 11, 1971, he was appointed Bishop of Ciudad Altamirano .

Pope John Paul II appointed him on February 5, 1979 as the first bishop of the diocese of Cuautitlán, established on the same date .
