The Diocese of Saltillo ( lat. : Dioecesis Saltillensis , span. : Diócesis de Saltillo ) is in Mexico located Roman Catholic diocese based in Saltillo .

history

The Diocese of Saltillo was on June 23, 1891 by Pope Leo XIII. Erected from cession of territory by the diocese Linares o Nueva León . On 19 June 1957, the Diocese of Saltillo were parts of its territory to the founding of the Apostolic Constitution Qui hanc erected Diocese of Torreón from. Another area assignment took place on 8 January 2003 to the founding of the Apostolic Constitution Sollicitus de spirituali erected Diocese of Piedras Negras .

The Diocese of Saltillo is subordinate to the Archdiocese of Monterrey as a suffragan .
