Manuel de Blas

Manuel de Blas (actually Manuel de Blas Muñoz , born April 12, 1941 in Badajoz ) is a Spanish actor .

Life

De Blas lived in Cordoba for two years after leaving his hometown before studying political science in Madrid . During his studies he also attended drama school and received his first film role in Rosa de Lima in 1961 . By 2010 his filmography comprised almost 180 entries; Until 1980 he was almost only given supporting roles (often as a villain) in feature films , after which he also played larger roles for the cinema and, more and more often, in television series, so that he was one of the stars of Spanish cinema, the one in important and controversial Films occurred. His films include commercial genre goods such as horror films and westerns as well as comedies and works by Carlos Saura and Gonzalo Súarez .

In 1992 De Blas was awarded the Premio Nacional de Teatro .

From 1967 until her death in 2013, De Blas was married to his colleague Patty Shepard , whom he met while filming Cita en Navarra .
