action

Peter works on a ranch whose existence depends on a water source owned by wealthy neighbor Johnny. Peter is plotted by nightmares in which he, as a skilled pistol hero, shoots his father. He also loves the ranch owner's daughter, Dorothy, who returns his love but is promised to Johnny. The two young people secretly marry, but the Warren parents find out and arrange for Peter to be chased into the desert. there his life is saved by the bounty hunter Latimore, who brings him to the Chinese Chang; Chang nurses Peter back to health and teaches him to shoot. When he has learned enough, Peter returns to the ranch area for revenge. Man after man he moves aside until he meets Dorothy, who is forced to work as a prostitute in the saloon. He escapes with her to a quiet place, where after a while Latimore appears, who wants to collect the head price for Peter - suspended since his campaign of revenge. In a duel between the two there is no winner.

criticism

Some critics of the film, which was highly acclaimed in Spain, noticed a number of unusual scenes, which, however, also disrupt the flow of the plot.

Remarks

The exterior shots were taken in the desert of Almería ; the interiors were shot in the Profil 21 studios in Madrid. Almost a million people saw the Spanish theatrical performances.
