Maria Elena Valencia
María Elena Valencia ( María Elena Valencia Jiménez ; born May 25, 1983 ) is a Mexican long-distance runner .
In 2006 she finished 42.195 km in the Cross Country World Championships on the short distance and 31st place in the long distance. At the Maratón de la Comarca Lagunera she was the overall winner of the Mexican champion over the 42.195 km distance, and she also won the Monterrey Marathon .
The following year she won the Saltillo Half Marathon and defended her national title with a victory at the Maratón de la Comarca Lagunera.
María Elena Valencia is trained by Dionicio Cerón .
