Marc Nagel (born February 22, 1970 in Karlsruhe ) is a German handball trainer and former handball player . He played 31 international matches for the German national team .

Career

Marc Nagel first played in Rintheim, then later for SG Leutershausen , with which he became German runner- up in the 1991/92 season . After the relegation of SGL from the handball Bundesliga , the 1.93 meter tall backcourt player went to TV Großwallstadt . In 1999 he moved to the then second division club Frisch Auf Göppingen , with whom he was promoted to the first division in 2001. At the end of the 2003/04 season, Nagel ended his playing career. He then became the sporting director at Frisch Auf Göppingen, but resigned in December 2004 after differences with the club's management. From the beginning of 2005, Nagel played for the regional league team SG Pforzheim / Eutingen , where he worked as a coach until his retirement in October 2011. In January 2013 he was assistant coach of Holger Lohr at SG Leutershausen and after Lohr resigned on October 1, 2013, was the sole nail coach of the SGL. After the 2017/18 season, he ended his work at SGL. Since summer 2019 he has been training the third division club SG Nußloch .

Marc Nagel is a full-time high school teacher at the Otto-Hahn-Gymnasium Karlsruhe in the subjects of mathematics and sport.
