Marc Urbatsch

Marc Urbatsch (born August 15, 1976 in Erwitte ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ). On November 11, 2018, he was elected treasurer of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen in Leipzig. From 2016 to 2019 he was a member of the Berlin House of Representatives .

Urbatsch has been a member of the district assembly in mid-2011 as a spokesman for his parliamentary group. In the election for the Berlin House of Representatives in 2016 , he received a direct mandate in the constituency of Mitte 4 . In April 2019, Urbatsch announced that, due to time constraints, he would be giving up the mandate in the House of Representatives by July 31, 2019, as it was not compatible with the office of Federal Treasurer of the Greens. Eva Marie Plonske moved up for him . Urbatsch was confirmed in office as federal treasurer at the federal delegates' conference of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen on November 16, 2019 in Bielefeld.

Together with his sister Katja Urbatsch, Urbatsch is one of the founders of the ArbeiterKind.de initiative , a network for first-generation students.
