Marcel Pierre Marie Chauvin
Marcel Pierre Marie Chauvin CSsR (born April 26, 1914 in Couëron , † July 2, 2004 ) was Bishop of Fada N'Gourma .
Life
Marcel Pierre Marie Chauvin joined the Redemptorist congregation, made his profession on September 8, 1932 , and was ordained a priest on August 29, 1939 . Paul VI appointed him Bishop of Fada N'Gourma on June 16, 1964 .
The Archbishop of Ouagadougou , Paul Zoungrana MAfr , consecrated him bishop on December 20 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Dieudonné Yougbaré , Bishop of Koupéla , and Marie-Jean-Baptiste-Hippolyte Berlier CSsR, Bishop of Niamey .
He attended the third and fourth sessions of the Second Vatican Council . He resigned from his office on June 15, 1979.
