Marcel Henri Vandernotte (born July 29, 1909 in Nantes ; † December 15, 1993 there ) was a French rower .

biography

Marcel Vandernotte competed at the 1932 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles together with his brother Fernand Vandernotte in two without a helmsman . However, they were eliminated in advance. At the European Championships in 1933 the brother couple won the bronze medal in a pair with a helmsman and in 1934 in Lucerne they won the silver medal in a four with a helmsman .

Marcel also started again with his brother at the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin . This time, however, together with Jean Cosmat and Marcel Chauvigné in a four with a helmsman . Fernand's twelve-year-old son Noël acted as helmsman . The crew won the bronze medal behind the German and Swiss boats.
