Marcin Łęgowski (* 1982 ) is a former Polish boxer .

Career

Marcin Łęgowski trained at the clubs Hetman Białystok and Ósemka Chojnice . He is Polish light welterweight champion from 2008, 2009 and 2010, and Polish welterweight champion from 2011.

His greatest successes were winning a bronze light welterweight medal at the 2008 European Championships in Liverpool and the 2008 EU Championships in Władysławowo , as well as winning the silver medal in the light welterweight division at the 2007 EU Championships in Dublin . He had defeated Önder Şipal and Bradley Saunders , among others . In the semifinals he was defeated against Ionuț Gheorghe , Frankie Gavin and Eduard Hambardsumjan .

In addition, he was quarter-finalist at the 2004 European Championships and the 2009 EU Championships, as well as participating in the 2007 and 2009 World Championships .

In 2012 he ended his competitive career and became a city councilor in Chojnice , he also worked as a lifeguard and sports trainer in the Centrum Park Chojnice .
