Marco Antônio Diniz Brandão (born March 7, 1949 in Belo Horizonte ) is a Brazilian diplomat .

Life

Marco Antônio Diniz Brandão is the son of Circéa Diniz Brandão and Wanderley Gomes Brandão. In 1972 he completed his law studies at the Universidade Federal Fluminense , completed the Curso Preparatório à Carreira Diplomática (CPCD) of the Rio Branco Institute and entered the foreign service. In 1991 he presented the work Perspectivas de Independência da Guiana Frances as part of the Curso de Alto Estudios of the Rio Branco Institute .

On October 30, 2001, he was appointed ambassador to Bangkok . On December 19, 2001, he was appointed Ambassador to Vientiane , based in Bangkok . On May 22, 2002, he was appointed ambassador to Phnom Penh and Naypyidaw , based in Bangkok . In 2007 he was appointed ambassador to New Delhi . On December 28, 2007, he was appointed Ambassador to Dhaka , based in New Delhi . In 2009 he was appointed ambassador to Kathmandu and Malé , with his official seat in New Delhi . On October 18, 2011, he was appointed ambassador to Cairo and non-resident ambassador to Mogadishu and Asmara .
