Marco Heinrichs (born April 28, 1974 in Cologne ) is a former German ice hockey player who played on the position of defender . In the German Ice Hockey League he was active for the Kölner Haie .

Career

Marco Heinrichs began his professional career in 1993 with the Kölner Haien from the German Ice Hockey League , with whom he became the first title holder of the new DEL in 1995 . For the 1995/96 season he moved to EHC Neuwied in the 1st league , for which he laced the skates for the next four seasons and won the DEB League Cup and the championship of the 1st league in the 1996/97 season . He was able to successfully defend the latter title with the team in the following season.

For the 1999/2000 season he went on the ice for EC Bad Nauheim in the 2nd Bundesliga and the following two seasons for their league competitor ERC Ingolstadt . After the rise of Ingolstadt Heinrichs played a season in the major league at SC Mittelrhein-Neuwied and spent the 2003/04 season at EA Kempten and the Stuttgart Wizards . He ended his career at EV Füssen in 2004/05 . Since 2018 he has been playing for the hobby club Cologne Thunder Ducks in the Rheinland Hockey League .
