Marco Tulli

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Marco Tulli (actually Primo Marcontulli , born November 20, 1920 in Rome , † March 20, 1982 ibid) was an Italian actor .

Life

Tulli studied economics and business administration before he was seen for the first time in small, mostly unmentioned film roles after the Second World War . The tall and very gaunt actor was then part of the theater group T.58 in the 1950s and previously (1956/1957) of the troupe around Paola Barbara and Manlio Guardabassi . In 1962 he was a member of the Piccolo Teatro di Milano ensemble . In addition, he continued his numerous television and film appearances until 1979. In his roles, which were often funny, he endowed the characters with curiosity and ironically broken interest with his lanky figure and croaking, high-pitched voice. The best known among them is the one in “Smilzo” from the films about Don Camillo .
