Despite the club's relegation, he extended his contract term for the regional league . In May 2007 Vorbeck moved to the second division club FC Augsburg . He played there from the 2007/08 season and had a two-year contract until the summer of 2009. For the 2019/20 season he became head coach of the regional league club SV Babelsberg 03 .
