Marcus Signer

Marcus Signer (* 1964 in Bern , Switzerland ) is a Swiss actor .

Life

From 1982 to 1986, Marcus Signer trained as an actor and animator at the “Theaterwerkstatt 1230” in Bern, where he then became a permanent member of the ensemble until 1992. After a scholarship stay in New York City , he worked as a freelance actor. He played at the Stadttheater Bern , at “Club 111” and at “In Situ” Chur . In addition to his work at the theater, Signer has also appeared in film and television productions, participated in radio plays and also works as a speaker for commercials. He was engaged as a "permanent guest" at the Bern City Theater.

For his role "Mischa" in the Swiss low-budget hit film Mary & Johnny , he won the Bern Film Prize 2012 for his portrayal . For the leading role in Der Goalie bin ig (directed by Sabine Boss ) based on the novel by Pedro Lenz , he was awarded the Swiss film 2014 film award for best actor.

Signer lives in Bern .
