Margarethe Heubacher-Sentobe

Margarethe Heubacher-Sentobe (* 1945 in Schwaz ) is an Austrian architect .

Life

After attending the HTL Bau und Design Innsbruck  and a year of practical experience with Norbert Heltschl , she studied architecture at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna from 1965 to 1970 in the master class of Roland Rainer . She then worked for the architects Loch, Tuscher and Norer in Innsbruck, and since 1978 she has been running her own architecture office in Schwaz. From 1990 she held teaching positions for design at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture at the University of Innsbruck . From 1995 to 1999 she was a member of the advisory board in Feldkirch , and from 2001 to 2003 a member of the art advisory board in Schwaz.

Heubacher-Sentobe designed primarily single-family houses that feature sensitive and unusual concepts, have received a lot of attention and have been awarded prizes. Her main work is the new building of the Carmelite Convention in Innsbruck, completed in 2003 .
