Tyrolean State Prize for Art

The Tyrolean State Prize for Art is an art prize from the state of Tyrol .

The State Prize for Art has been awarded annually since 1984 in recognition of outstanding artistic achievements in the fields of music, architecture and literature as well as fine arts and performing arts. The state of Tyrol honors the entire work or an extraordinary individual achievement. The prize (2013) is endowed with 14,000 euros. The award is made through a resolution of the state government based on a unanimous proposal by the appointed jury. The jury is appointed by the cultural council of the state government. The jury has been chaired by State Councilor Beate Palfrader as state cultural advisor since 2008 .
