Margit Rupp

Margit Rupp (* February 7, 1955 in Bruchsal ; † September 18, 2017 in Tübingen ) worked as a lawyer in a leading position in the Evangelical Church in Württemberg .

Life

After studying law in Erlangen and Tübingen and completing her legal traineeship at the Tübingen regional court , the assessor first became a research assistant in the Evangelical Upper Church Council in 1986 and then, in 1993, director of canon law for service law.

Rupp was senior church councilor from 2001 until her retirement in 2017 and, as director of the Evangelical upper church council, the legal deputy of the Württemberg regional bishop.

From 2003 to 2009 Margit Rupp was a member of the EKD Council. She had been a member of the SWR Broadcasting Council since 2003 .
