Margrit Rainer
Margrit Rainer (born February 9, 1914 in Zurich ; † February 10, 1982 there ; born Margrit Rosa Sandmeier ) was a Swiss actress and cabaret artist .
Life
Rainer received training as a photo lab technician and then became a member of Cabaret Cornichon at the age of 20 , to which she belonged until 1959. She also appeared on other cabaret stages such as Resslirytti, Bäretatze and Nebelhorn . In 1959 she moved to the Theater am Hechtplatz .
Her most frequent theater and film partner was Ruedi Walter . She not only played important roles in films, but also in numerous plays and musicals. B. in good night Mrs. Seeholzer, Holiday in Switzerland, Bibi Balù and Die kleine Niederdorfoper .
The chansons she sang (especially in the musicals) have made Swiss music and chanson history: Helvetia in Heaven (1962), Ja d'Liebi macht eim riich (1975), Mis Chind (1968/1978), Quand on n'a pas ce qu'on aime (1952). She also made a number of music recordings together with Ruedi Walter.
Margrit Rainer initially appeared in the film under the family name of her first husband, the actor Fritz Pfister . Her last and long-term partner was her fellow actor Inigo Gallo .
She was buried in the Enzenbühl cemetery in Zurich, next to her partner and Gallo's second wife (FG 81272).
