history

The first mention of a church in Alling comes from the year 1315 as a branch of the Pfaffenhofen parish . Alling only became a parish in 1818, which also included Germannsberg , Hoflach and Holzkirchen .

architecture

The late Gothic hall was built on old castle foundations. It has a retracted choir closed on three sides and a south tower with an onion dome . The base of the tower is older, the tower was raised by almost twelve meters in 1694. The interior was redesigned in Baroque style around 1739 and regotified from 1865 to 1869.

Furnishing

In 1686 the high altar and the side altars were built, which have been restored and changed several times to this day. The pulpit was created by Matthias Schmidt from Alling from 1762 to 1768.

The lead glass windows in the choir with the representation of Jesus and Mary were made by Joseph Peter Bockhorni in 1887 .
