So he used some window openings from the 18th century. On the gable facade, he integrated a late Gothic portal with a tympanum from the 14th century.

architecture

The three-aisled basilica ends with a vaulted ⅝ choir with a front yoke. Above the front yoke sits a bell tower with an almost square floor plan. The nave is vaulted with rib vaults that sit on wall services without capitals. Pointed arches on round columns separate the center and side aisles. Tracery windows illuminate the interior of the church. The three-storey choir tower ends with four clock gables, which are surmounted by a bent helmet. The Gothic portal is formed by a keel arch with pinnacles . In the center of the tympanum there is a figure of Our Lady. A sacristy adjoins the southern side of the choir.

Furnishing

The most valuable furnishings of the church include several wall paintings framed by wide ornamental strips from the 14th century in the choir with the story of the birth of Christ, the death of the Virgin and the Last Judgment. The Gothic furnishings also include a holy water basin and a lavabo . In addition, there is a replica of the Holy Sepulcher in a rectangular wall niche with eyelashes in the church . The illustration shows the three Marys in the niche at the empty tomb, the resurrection on the gable. The grave dates from the 14th century. The stained glass windows of the choir date from around 1360 and show scenes from the life of Christ in the northern window. Scenes of the resurrection can be seen in the southern window.

The altars date from the Baroque period, the high altar stands on a Gothic cafeteria. A statue of the Seated Mother of God, which was made around 1500, stands here between winding columns. The side altars are of St. Catherine of Alexandria and St. Consecrated to Sebastian . The latter comes from the Church of St. Peter and Paul in Rosheim .

The organ of the church comes from Marc Garnier and was built between 1995 and 1998.
