Annunciation (Taiting)
The Catholic parish church of the Annunciation is a monument in Taiting near Dasing .
history
The previous building was badly damaged in the course of the War of the Spanish Succession in 1704. A new building took place in 1712, with the preserved tower of the previous church being integrated into the new building.
A detailed 20 square meter Christmas crib attracts numerous visitors to Taiting every year.
Building description
The Annunciation is a flat-roofed hall with a retracted, semicircular closed choir under a barrel cap . An octagon with an onion dome is placed on the north tower with a square floor plan .
Furnishing
The frescoes from 1797 are by Johann Baptist Anwander . They show the Visitation of Mary in the choir and putti to the side . Simeon's prophecy and the 12-year-old Jesus in the temple are depicted on the walls . In the nave you can see the Adoration of the Shepherds and the procession of the Magi . The church fathers are shown to the side. The high altar was created around 1770 and shows the Annunciation . On the sides there are figures of Saints Joseph and Joachim . The side altars around 1710/20 show St. John Nepomuk on the left and St. Sebastian on the right . The figures represent Saints Thomas and Andrew on the left and Saints Peter and Paul on the right. The apostle statuettes from the mid-18th century originally come from the St. Emmeram chapel. The half-length of the Mater Dolorosa was created around 1760/70.
