Maria Becke-Rausch
Maria Becke-Rausch (* 1923 in Leipzig ) is a German sculptor .
Life
Maria Becke-Rausch graduated from the master school of German arts and crafts in Leipzig in the middle of the Second World War from 1939 to 1945 . In 1944 and 1945 she also attended the art academy in Dresden .
From 1945 to 1958 she worked as a freelance artisan in Dresden. In 1958 she moved from the German Democratic Republic to the Federal Republic of Germany and then lived in Misburg near Hanover .
Today Maria Becke-Rausch lives and works in Graz .
Works (incomplete)
Maria Becke-Rausch participated with her work in exhibitions in Leipzig and Dresden, at the Kunstverein Hannover and in Düsseldorf . Many of her works are now in private or public ownership, such as
- The conversation , sculpture in the courtyard of the Linden leisure center , 1961, height 210 cm;
- Pan , sculpture in the primary school in Meterstrasse (Hanover), 1964, 140 cm on a 70 cm base;
- Daphne (also: Metamorphose ), sculpture in the entrance area of the Tiergarten (Hanover) , height 170 cm;
