Maria Bukowska (born March 30, 1991 ) is a Polish biathlete .

Maria Bukowska from BKS WP Kościelisko made her international debut in a race in the IBU Cup at the beginning of the 2008/09 season in Obertilliach , where she finished 65th. In Canmore she took part in the 2009 Biathlon Junior World Championships , where she was 27th in the individual, 30th in the sprint and pursuit, and seventh in the relay race with Katarzyna Leja and Monika Hojnisz . This was followed by participation in the roller ski competitions for juniors at the 2009 Summer Biathlon World Championships in Oberhof , where Bukowska sprinted to 22nd place, but could not finish the pursuit race because she was lapped. With the relay she reached eighth place. In Torsby , the Pole took part again in 2010 in the Junior World Championships and finished 17th in the sprint, eight in pursuit and individual and six with Hojnisz and Anna Mąka in the relay race. Shortly thereafter, Bukowska also ran in the junior races of the 2010 European Biathlon Championships in Otepää . In Estonia, the Polish woman reached 13th in the individual, 23 in the sprint, 26 in the pursuit and eight in the Polish mixed relay. At the 2010 Summer Biathlon European Championships , it was initially used in the junior races. Bukowska was 16th in the sprint with only two misses. In the pursuit, she moved up one place and failed to hit the target with just one of the 20 shots. For the mixed relay, Bukowska was then appointed to the side of Katarzyna Leja, Tomasz Puda and Mateusz Wieczorek . As a starting runner, she laid the foundation for a good result with a good shooting performance, which Leja forgave again with a poor shooting performance, so that Poland's relay was sixth in the end.

Nationally, Bukowska won the bronze medal with the relay of her club BKS WP Kościelisko at the Polish Biathlon Championships 2009 in Wisła .
