Tomasz Puda (born January 11, 1986 in Żywiec ) is a Polish biathlete .

Tomasz Puda studies at the Katowice Sports University and lives in Koszarawa . He is trained by Malwina Wojtas and starts for KS AZS AWF Katowice . He contested his first international race in 2004 as part of the Biathlon European Cup for Juniors in Obertilliach . In Kontiolahti he took part in the biathlon junior world championships in 2005 and finished 70th in both individual and sprint races. The next major event was the 2007 Winter Universiade in Cesana San Sicario , where Puda was 29th in the individual, 32nd in the sprint race and 24th in the pursuit. A little later he also took part in the 2007 Biathlon Junior World Championships in Martell for the second time . In the individual he reached the 52nd place in South Tyrol , in the sprint the Pole was 40th and 47th in the pursuit race. It joined with the Biathlon European Championships in 2007 , a third major event, went in the Puda at the competitions of the juniors at the start and in the single-37, in the sprint 44th and Adam Kwak , Łukasz Szczurek and Sebastian Witek seventh place with the occupied.

Since the beginning of 2007/08 , Puda has started in the men's performance category. He contested his first race, an individual, in Obertilliach, where he was 79. He won first points as the 25th of an individual from Osrblie in 2009. This is also Puda's best result so far in the second highest racing series in biathlon. In the highest, the Biathlon World Cup , the Pole was able to give in Östersund at the start of the 2008/09 season . In his first individual he finished 102nd. In the following sprint he reached 100th place and thus his best result in the World Cup so far. The 2008 European Biathlon Championships were Puda's first major event among men. In Nové Město na Moravě he reached the 63rd place in the individual, was 74th of the sprint and ran on the side of Kwak, Grzegorz Bril and Witek on the 13th relay place. In Ufa he started again the following year at the European Championships . This time he competed in all four possible races and was 48th of the individual, 46th of the sprint, 39th of the pursuit and with Mariusz Leja , Mirosław Kobus and Piotr Kotas as the starting runners of the 12th season. Summer 2009 began with successes in the frame of the IBU Summer Cup 2009 . In Bystřice pod Hostýnem he was third in the cross sprint behind Lars Zimmer and Luboš Schorný , in the mass start race only Petr Balcar placed in front of him. In the mass start of Predajná Balcar and Matej Kazár were again ahead of him. The 2009 Summer Biathlon European Championships in Nové Město na Moravě were also quite successful . where Puda was 13th in the sprint race and eighth in the mass start race. With Karolina Pitoń , Magdalena Nykiel and Sebastian Witek , he also won the silver medal in the mixed relay race behind the team from Russia. He also competed in the two cross-country races at the 2009 Summer Biathlon World Championships in Oberhof and finished in 43rd place in fuel and 32nd in pursuit.

The greatest national success achieved Puda in the context of the Polish Championships in Biathlon 2009 in Wisła . With the relay of his club AZS AWF Katowice he won the silver medal on the side of Sebastian Witek, Grzegorz Bril and Łukasz Witek .
