Life and professional development

Maria Jane Hyde was born in 1969 at Memorial Hospital in Shooters Hill, London . Her father Edward Hyde is a successful company founder; her mother is Maureen Hyde, b. Fennelly. Maria Jane grew up with her two older brothers in different suburbs of London. She attended the Roman Catholic Saint Mary's Primary School from the age of four. From the age of 10 she attended the Italia Conti Academy of Theater Arts , the oldest theater and musical school in Great Britain.

During her training at the Italia Conti Academy, Maria Jane took on engagements in various theater and musical productions, including Annie (Pepper), The Wiz (Munchkin) and the BBC production Grange Hill . In 1985, Maria Jane followed the call of London's West End, where she was personally selected by Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber as a sub for the role of Pearl in the then newly opened musical Starlight Express (London). In 1988 Maria Jane Hyde followed the "Zug der Sterne" tour to Bochum , where she was the first to play the role of Pearl in the German edition of Starlight Express , the world's most successful musical. Maria Jane is therefore the original Pearl in Germany. She stayed with Starlight in Bochum for several years, where she also worked as a skate coach and assistant artistic director for this piece. During this time she also worked with Paul Kribbe, Bernie Blanks and other stars of the international musical scene.

After her time at Starlight Express , Maria Jane worked in productions such as B. Tabaluga & Lilli in Oberhausen , where they worked with Paul Kribbe, Andreas Bieber and Ross Antony , or in the musical Miami Nights in the Düsseldorf Capitol musical theater , a musical stage. Maria Jane Hyde can be seen at Rainbow Show Service with “Over The Rainbow II” (Musicals in Concert). In 2009 Hyde founded her own musical school in Velbert , Germany.
