Maria Pia Conte (actually Maria Pia Vaccarezza ; born March 10, 1944 in Lavagna ) is an Italian actress .

Life

Conte, the daughter of a carpenter, first lived in Sestri Levante before moving to Genoa to study classical dance . She soon appeared in several photographic novels , attended the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia , graduated in 1962 and began her film career in 1964; however, she had already been seen in a child role in 1954. She was often cast as "naive" and played this role in numerous genre works, including spaghetti westerns of the second category and adventure films. In the late 1970s she gave up her acting career after a series of "Sexy Comedies" after fifteen years. A pseudonym Contes, who very occasionally also did dubbing work, was Mary P. Count . With Tutti gli uomini del re there is also a lonely theater role in her list of works.
