Orion-3000 - Raumfahrt des Horens (original title: Il pianeta errante ) is an Italian science fiction film from 1966. It is the third in a four-part film series directed by Antonio Margheriti . The German premiere was on April 14, 1967.

content

Many cities in Europe are being destroyed by earthquakes. A mysterious planet is discovered in space that not only continues to cause disasters, but also threatens to collide with Earth. Commander Jackson and his crew take a spaceship into space to identify and explore the planet. Inside, the team discovers a kind of giant brain whose ganglia grow back when they are cut off. The astronauts decide to destroy the planet with an antimatter bomb. Jackson sacrifices himself and lets his crew return to the spaceship before carrying out the demolition.

DVD release

Orion 3000 is available in the US as War Between the Planets on a double DVD with the film The Creation of the Humanoids . The DVD is distributed by Dark Sky. In 2015 a German DVD and Blu-ray was released.
