Marian Hodulik (born November 26, 1979 ) is a former Slovak football player .

Career

The central defender began his career in the youth department of Spartak Trnava and completed international matches for various Slovak national teams. In 1997 Hodulik joined the youth team at FC Gütersloh . A year later, Hodulik moved up to the squad of the first team that played in the 2nd Bundesliga at the time . On September 25, 1998, he played his first and only second division game in the 2-0 defeat of Gütersloher at Tennis Borussia Berlin . Hodulik played from the start and was replaced by Horst Elberfeld in the 79th minute . With the Güterslohern Hodulik rose at the end of the 1998/99 season from the 2nd Bundesliga.

In the following regional league season 1999/2000 , the club had to be dissolved due to insolvency . The club was re-established as FC Gütersloh in 2000 and was able to continue playing in the Oberliga Westfalen by taking advantage of a loophole in the statutes . In the 2001/02 season Hodulik still played for the upper division BV Cloppenburg before he moved to Artmedia Bratislava in his home country . After three years in Slovakia, Hodulik continued his career in Austrian amateur football and played for FC Mistelbach , Kremser SC , SC Wolkersdorf , ASC Götzendorf , FSV Velm and Sportfreunden Berg. He ended his career in 2017.
