Positions

Marian Wendt rejects the equality of homosexual partnerships with the traditional marriage of men and women, which earned him criticism from homosexual associations.

Wendt advocates anchor centers and called for the creation of a national immigration authority. He is considered a critic of the migration pact and family reunification .

After the party Die Linke had shared a photo on Twitter with the text “Germany, you lousy piece of shit!” In 2015, Wendt saw this as an argument for their observation by the constitution protection .

Marian Wendt rejects a general speed limit on German motorways.

Wendt defended this in the discussion about right-wing extremist texts by the Saxon regional bishop Carsten Rentzing . Wendt assessed the allegations as a "campaign" and saw a "left-wing drift" against Rentzing at work. Rentzing had distanced himself from the 30-year-old texts and, in his role as regional bishop, did not express himself accordingly. For Christians, forgiveness should “not be strange”. He defended Rentzing's membership in a striking student association by pointing out that student associations were responsible for many positive impulses of the 19th and 20th centuries.

In October 2019, Wendt was open to legalizing cannabis . He told the editorial network Germany : “Cannabis could be released for personal use, of course with controlled cultivation and controlled delivery. The resources freed up in the police and judiciary should be used to take massive action against illegal trafficking. ”One must recognize social realities.
