Manfred Kolbe
Manfred Lothar Kolbe (born August 17, 1953 in Naunhof / Grimma district ) is a former German politician ( CDU ). From 2000 to 2002 he was Saxon State Minister of Justice and then a member of the German Bundestag until 2013 .
Life and work
Manfred Kolbe, son of the ancient historian Hans-Georg Kolbe , passed his Abitur in 1973 at a grammar school in Rome and began studying law at the Free University of Berlin and the University of Munich , which he completed in 1979 with the first state examination in law. After his legal clerkship , he also passed the second state examination in 1982 and joined the Free State of Bavaria as a public prosecutor in Munich in 1983 . In the same year he moved to the Bavarian State Ministry of Finance as a senior councilor . From 1989 to 1990 Kolbe was a judge at the Finance Court in Munich and in 1990 took over the management of the information office of the Free State of Bavaria in Dresden . He was also the state structure officer for finance in the coordination committee for education in Saxony. In 1990 Kolbe was also appointed notary in Grimma ; later he settled in Naunhof.
Manfred Kolbe is Protestant and has three children.
Political party
Kolbe joined the CSU in 1978 and switched to the CDU in 1990. From 1991 to 1993 he was chairman of the CDU district association Grimma and has been a member of the CDU state executive in Saxony since 1993 . Since 2000 he has also been chairman of the regional working group for Christian Democratic Lawyers (LACDJ).
MPs and offices
Kolbe was a member of the Bundestag for the first time from 1990 until his resignation on October 2, 2000 . From 1999 to 2000 he was chairman of the Saxony regional group in the CDU / CSU parliamentary group .
On September 15, 2000, Kolbe was appointed Minister of State of Justice to the state government of the Free State of Saxony led by Prime Minister Kurt Biedenkopf ( Biedenkopf III cabinet ). After Biedenkopf's resignation, Kolbe also left the government on May 2, 2002.
From 2002 to 2013 he was again a member of the German Bundestag . He did not run again for the 2013 federal election . Manfred Kolbe has always entered the Bundestag as a directly elected member of the Döbeln - Grimma - Oschatz constituency and, since 2002, of the Delitzsch - Torgau-Oschatz - Riesa constituency. In the 2005 Bundestag election he received 36.5% of the first votes .
In 2011, the immunity to conduct criminal proceedings against Kolbe for alleged fuel fraud was lifted by the German Bundestag. The trial at Borna District Court was discontinued in November 2011 on payment of a fine of € 1000. Kolbe had already forgotten to pay at gas stations in 2002 and 2008.
