The Marilhou is a river in France that runs in the Cantal department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region . It rises in the Volcans d'Auvergne Regional Nature Park in the municipality of Le Vaulmier , drains generally in a north-west direction and flows into the Sumène as a left tributary after 25 kilometers at the municipal boundary of Sauvat and Méallet .
