Marin Mincu

Marin Mincu (born August 28, 1944 in Slatina , † December 4, 2009 in Bucharest ) was a Romanian literary critic , poet and literary scholar .

biography

Mincu was active as a literary critic and was the author of numerous specialist publications between 1974 and 1994 as an honorary professor at the universities of Milan , Turin and Florence . His acquaintance with the Italian writer Umberto Eco also dates back to this time .

In June 1977 he had a decisive influence on the establishment of the Faculty of Literature at the University of Ovidius Constanța , of which he remained dean until 1997. He then worked as a professor of literature at the university until his death. He was also a member of the Central Council of the Romanian Writers' Union (Uniunii Scriitorilor din România).

During his teaching activities he dealt with the avant-garde in literature . His important specialist books include "Avangarda literară românească" (1983) and "Experimentalismul poetic românesc" (2006). In addition, he was editor of the literary magazine "Pontica". His poem "Eros" and his book "Drehung" (2002) were translated into German by Christian W. Schenk . Other publications were:
