Marina Petrovna Lebedewa ( Kazakh-Cyrillic Марина Петровна Лебедева ; born May 29, 1985 in Aqköl , Aqmola region , then Kazakh SSR , Soviet Union ) is a Kazakh biathlete .

Marina Lebedewa is the younger sister of Anna Lebedewa . She lives in Shchuchinsk , her first trainer was her father Pyotr Lebedew, now she is trained by Gennady Makarov, Alexander Tkachuk and Alexander Golubew.

In 2005 she took part in a major international event, the Junior World Championships in Kontiolahti . There the Kazakh achieved results between 44 and 47 in individual, sprint and pursuit. Since 2006 she has been competing in adult races. She had her first missions here as part of the Biathlon European Cup , where she was 59th in her first sprint race. In Lahti Lebedewa made his debut in 2007 as 60th in an individual in the Biathlon World Cup . In Khanty-Mansiysk she reached as Sprint-56. her best result for a long time.

In Östersund , the Kazakh woman started at the Biathlon World Championships 2008 , her first biathlon world championships . In Sweden Lebedewa was 17th with the mixed relay. In 2009 she was used individually in Pyeongchang , where she was 79th. A steady increase in performance has been observed since the beginning of the 2009/10 season . In Östersund Lebedewa was able to achieve a new best result with 48th place, a week later in Hochfilzen she missed her first World Cup points as 41st of the sprint by just one place. At the next World Cup she was able to win World Cup points for the first time in Pokljuka as 15th in a sprint. Marina Lebedewa took part in the 2010 Winter Olympics. Her best result was 58th place in the sprint. With the relay she finished 14th.

Her best result so far in the World Cup achieved Lebedewa in the individual competition after flawless shooting in sixth place on December 16, 2010 in Pokljuka, Slovenia.
