Francisco das Chagas Marinho or Marinho Chagas (born February 8, 1952 in Natal , † June 1, 2014 in João Pessoa ) was a Brazilian football player .

Marinho wore the Brazilian national team's jersey 36 times , including eight unofficial appearances. He scored four goals. During the 1974 World Cup in Germany, he played seven games. In 1975, the FC Schalke 04 tried to get committed . However, the transfer failed due to the veto of the Board of Directors. In 1976 he won the Copa Río Branco and the Taça do Atlântico with Brazil . In 1988 his 20-year career in Germany ended with BC Harlekin Augsburg. In 2014 he died of a gastrointestinal hemorrhage . Marinho had been an alcoholic for years.
