Mario Capezzuto
Mario capezzuto (* 10. May 1952 in Nocera Inferiore , Italy ) is a German SPD - politician .
Life
Capezzuto was born in 1952 in Nocera Inferiore, near Naples , and when he was nine years old, his father, who had previously worked in Lorch in Württemberg , brought his mother to Germany.
He later studied at the pedagogical specialist seminar in Schwäbisch Gmünd and worked as a subject teacher, later as a senior teacher.
In addition to his political and other offices, Capezzuto works as an economic and political advisor.
Political offices
In 1973 Capezzuto became a member of the Oria committee of the city of Lorch, the committee to promote relations with the Italian twin town.
In 1989 he was first elected to the Lorch municipal council, of which he is still a member today.
In 1997 Capezzuto moved in for Dieter Spöri in the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg as a member of parliament. In 2001 he was able to defend his mandate in the Schwäbisch Gmünd constituency . In the elections on March 26, 2006, however, he was no longer elected to the state parliament.
From 1991 to 1999 he was chairman of the SPD local association in Lorch , since 1994 he has been a member of the district executive of the SPD Ostalb and since 1999 also a member of the district council of the Ostalb district .
In 1999 he was elected to the district council of the Ostalbkreis for the first time , of which he is still a member today.
From 1994 to 1999 Capezzuto was a member of the regional association of East Württemberg

- 1995–2001: Member of the state board of the Social Democratic Society for Local Politics (SGK)
- since 1995: City association chairman of the Lorcher sports clubs
- since 2003: Chairman of the social association VdK Lorch
- 2007–2012: Football director at 1. FC Normannia Schwäbisch Gmünd
- since 2013: Chairman of the Gmünder Peer Club 1952 (AGV)
- since 2017: Member of the Advisory Board of the Schwäbisch Gmünd correctional facility
Honors
In 2002 Capezzuto was awarded the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic in the knightly class (Italian Cavaliers ) for his work on European integration .
In January 2015 he received the Federal Cross of Merit .
