Marita Skammelsrud Lund (born January 29, 1989 in Ski , Norway ) is a Norwegian former soccer player who last played for Lillestrøm SK Kvinner and the senior national team. She is the niece of former professional soccer player Bent Skammelsrud .
Career
Lund took part with the U-19 team in the U-19 European Women's Football Championship in 2007 , in which the team failed in the semi-finals to England, but qualified for the U-20 Women's World Cup in 2008 . There she was used in all three group matches. After the preliminary round, Norway had to travel home. On October 27, 2007, at the age of 18, she made her first international match when she came on in the 90th minute of the game against Russia . She was the youngest player in the Norwegian squad for the Beijing Olympics and was used in the quarter-final against Brazil . At the European Championships in Finland , she was used in the quarter and semi-finals against Sweden and Germany . Although she was only used twice in 2010 and not yet used in 2011 before the squad nomination, she was in the squad for the 2011 World Cup in Germany. In the preliminary round from the Norwegian team, she was used in two games. She was part of the squad for the EM 2013 , but was only used in the preliminary round match against Germany, which was won 1-0.
Lund was also part of the squad for the 2015 World Cup and was used in the four Norwegian games that were eliminated in the round of 16 against England. In the subsequent qualification for the 2017 European Championship , it was used in seven of the eight games. Only in the last game it was not used. After the successful qualification, she was used in the first game under interim coach Leif Gunnar Smerud in October 2016. In the last game of the year, the last under Smerud, she could not be used due to injury.
