Mark Anthony Lopez (born April 25, 1982 in Houston ) is an American Taekwondoin . It starts in the weight class up to 74 kilograms.

Lopez came to Taekwondo at the age of five. He comes from a sports-loving family, his brother Steven is the most successful athlete in modern Taekwondo with two Olympic victories and five world championship titles, his sister Diana is world champion and Olympic medalist and his brother Jean is the US national trainer and founder of the Lopez Taekwondo Academy in Houston. Mark Lopez celebrated his first international success by winning a bronze medal at the 1998 Junior World Championship in Istanbul . The following year he also won his first World Championship medal in the adult division, winning bronze at the 1999 World Championship in the class up to 62 kilograms. Lopez achieved further success with silver at the 2003 World Cup in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and his only world title to date at the 2005 World Cup in Madrid . Lopez celebrated his greatest sporting success so far at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing . In the weight class up to 68 kilograms he reached the final with three wins, lost there against Son Tae-jin from South Korea and won the silver medal. In his current class up to 74 kilograms, Lopez was able to win another bronze medal at the 2009 World Championships in Copenhagen . He narrowly missed qualifying for the 2012 Olympic Games in the team's internal duel against Terrence Jennings .

At the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, Mark, his brother Steven and sister Diana took part and also won an Olympic medal. For the first time, three siblings were able to win Olympic medals in three different competitions in one year.
